2D Extraordinaire

On Tuesday, I packed a set of clothes and went to college because I was gonna stay over at Wilson's house after shooting our 2D animation.

The night before I did not sleep. On Monday, I was awake up till midnight until Tuesday morning at 5.30a.m., which I took an half an hour sleep before waking up again at 6a.m. and getting ready for college. I took more sleep in the car while my parents drop my sisters at their school. I guess that was another half an hour sleep.

The first class on Tuesday is Drawing For Animation. I got some of my assignments back and I was pleased to get a score of nine out of ten for one of my assignments. It was good enough that my lecturer wants to collect them back probably to photocopy them and use as future references for future students. Whoo-hoo. The remark my lecturer gave me was "Sweet mother fucker! Give them back to me after class.". Oh, did I mention that my lecturer, Julian is badass? Yeah. He's freaking badass and we love it. Everybody has a different remark. Laura got this, "Return these suckers things *oups* to me after class.". We realised that only the guys gotbadass vulgar words which meant that our work kicked ass!

So I presented my drill vehicles to Julian but turned out I had a lot of problems with them. Well just one. I'm gonna work on that badass looking mining-drill vehicle with the four rotary blade-like drills. So yeah. I was really tired before class started because of my lack of sleep. Oh, and Kai was absent because he was not feeling well. Poor Mal missing her boyfriend for a day. Hahaha. I did not mention that Kai and Mal got together didn't I? Man, the two of them are such a cute couple.

After lunch at KFC, Laksh, Ann Nee, Chia, Wilson and I headed to Block P to wait for our next class, Moral to start. On the way, Yew Wah tricked us into thinking that we have a test and we panicked and started reading. When we found out that Yew Wah and Enez pranked us, we all heaved a great sigh of relief. Well, Laksh raged and chased Yew Wah into the toilet. Haha.

During Moral, I took some rest by resting my eyes. Ang was teaching (not lecturing, she thinks we are lower secondary school students) us on the topic of religion. A big mistake she made the first slide was the word 'definition', she spelled it 'defination'. Rewinding back to a few weeks before, Kai and I were calling her the air bender Ang. Now, she is the last defi bender Ang from the Defi Nation.

After class was over, Wilson and I rushed over to the 2D lab to shoot our 2D animation assignment. There were others there, Cheryl, Victor, Mal, Emma, Wee. We all were doing our animation. In the end, only Wilson, Cheryl and I remained. Wilson and I left college at 10.30p.m. It was the first time I left college at such an hour and it's bad or anything, I believe that I ha experienced something new and experiencing new things is good. Yes?

Wilson lead me to his car and after paying the ticket, we took off and picked Sim Yen up. Sim Yen is Wilson's girlfriend. The two of them are also another cute couple. They were talking in the car and stuff. Wilson occasionally included me into their conversation probably to not make me feel awkward. Hehe. We had dinner together at a McDonald's outlet where I spent money on three burgers because I was HUNGRY. Wilson was HUNGRY too but he doesn't have a black hole for a stomach like me. After dinner, Wilson dropped Sim Yen off at her house. Time to hit Wilson Manor.

Wilson's mom was waiting for us to return. I greeted her and as usual I was told to make myself at home. After we took our bath, we played Left4Dead 2. Yeah, I guess I'm kinda addicted to L4D2 now ever since I took my first step into an enclosed CC (Blitzone) and played L4D2 with Marcus, Yati and Kuui. Yeah, I like the blood splashing on the screen so what? Killing zombies is fun too. I kinda leveled up in shooting games now I guess. Well time flew like the wind and it was 3a.m. Wilson and I failed to make it to the end in the Dark Carnival stage so we went to bed.

The next morning Wilson woke me up. I realised that I was talk half way to him when I woke up, which means I could have been sleep talking while he was talking to me. Whoa. I better check with him. Anyway, after getting ready, the two of us went down with our bags and had breakfast. Wilson's mom bought curry puffs and sandwiches for us. Wilson told me that he is gonna drive Jeremy to college as well and soon enough the tall monotonous ex-classmate walked into the kitchen. We were all in the same class in our first term of college but Jeremy was held back two terms in college so we were not in the same class anymore. After breakfast we headed out to college.

In class I was somehow extremely tired. I literally was half-awake during 2D Animation. I think Syed knows that I was sleeping in his class because when he was reviewing our assignments, I did say anything and when he called my name I did not respond. Ugh... After he reviewed my animation I fell asleep again. I did wake up at some points but fell asleep again after that. I missed the examples of our 2D animation project, Poncho. Darn. Well at least I manage to stay awake for the research project brief.

For the first time after so many years I ended up in the left over group. Not like I don't like my group, I have members I can't cooperate with. The good thing is I have Kai and Wilson with me. Laura ditched us. Sad. Well The sadder thing is we have Raad and Sharukh. Sharukh is not bad but he doesn't attend class all the time. He's usually absent and it's hard to reach him. Raad, his a special case. I call him The Butterfly, or should it be Butterfly Brain. I have no idea what goes on in Raad's mind. All the animation assignments we were given before, he did not meet the requirements. He had all these extra stuff going on in his animation and Syed will always tell him to redo it. I hope Sharukh can get things done and be present next week and Raad wont flutter somewhere else.

Sleeping in a class when class is in session in college is kinda a first for me. I guess I haven't been getting enough sleep and all these assignments I'm getting is becoming more and more and the demands are getting more and more. Well, my lecturers were right. They did say that as the weeks go by, the demand for our assignments will be harder. Yikes. It's too late to say that now.

Hoppy Chinese New Year - Year of the Wabbit

The Chinese New Year holidays ended a few days ago and a lot of people are saying how this year's Chinese New Year holiday is so short. I got nothing to complain about except for the fact that I did not get to visit all my relatives this year.

So this year's Chinese New Year had some surprises for me. I can say it was an eye-opener. I'm lazy and there I said it, I'm lazy. So I'm not gonna go into all the things that happened in those five days in Penang.

I went to my cousin's house and it was packed with my other relatives because she held a buffet lunch and invited all of us to eat there. Did I post on my blog before that I have a huge complicated family tree? If not then let me say it here, I have nephews and nieces who are older than me because my late paternal grandfather had four wives and each of my paternal uncles and aunts vary from age. Yeah so my dad as a kid also already had nephews and nieces which are my current cousins who are well, adults. So here's where all these lead to, one of my cousins have become a grandmother. Which means I have been "promoted" to from uncle to granduncle. Yay. Look how old my status in my family is now. It's just funny. Anyway, ever since I don't remember when, my nephews and nieces have stopped calling me 'uncle'. I can still remember when I was small and did not understand my status in my family, they always called me 'uncle' despite the fact that I was younger than them. Even though I am relieved, I still feel a little disappointed. Guess I'm looking forward to hear one of my older nephews or nieces call me 'uncle' again.

Friday morning my family and I went to have dim sum for breakfast with some of my maternal family members. We all had seated down and were eating when my grandmother suddenly called us (my cousins, my sisters, my mom and my uncle) to see someone. As I was following my grandmother, I saw Mr. Colin at a table. I was surprised and happy to see him. I was thinking of greeting him if I pass by but for some reason before I reached wherever my grandmother was leading us, I felt that I was heading for the table Mr. Colin was sitting at and I was right. My grandmother immediately introduced us to her cousin and as the young ones, we greeted her. I then greeted Mr. Colin. I couldn't be any more shocked than this. Mr. Colin, a mentor and a leader I respected is a distant cousin of mine. Whoa. I was too shocked to have anything run through my brain cells. I could only keep a smile on my face and hide the shock I have on the inside. After my mom and my grandmother chatted with Mr. Colin's mom and grandmother which is my distant aunt and grandaunt, my grandmother told us to go back to our table and finish up the food. I greeted Mr. Colin again and then went back still astonished. I wonder what was going through Mr. Colin's mind. I doubt it was the same as mine. I was blank from surprise.

It was the first time I experienced fine dinning. My paternal fourth uncle and aunt brought my family and I to my cousin's husband's restaurant for dinner. I was great and it was really fine dinning. We had three sets of forks and knifes set before us, the waiter laid out the napkins on our laps for us, they served us wine, it was whoa. I had my first taste of wine and bleh, I don't like wine. Beer tastes better. The meals were spectacular. They came out one by one slowly after everyone finished their plate. We had everything from starters to desserts, five dishes in total.

During our stay in Penang, my four dogs, Patches, Kawaii, Lady (previously Buffy) and Muffin were left at my paternal fourth uncle's house because he also has dogs and a lot of cages. We decided that we leave Lady and Muffin behind and take Patches and Kawaii back to KL. Now it feels like we are missing something at home.

Chinese New Year isn't over yet but the holidays are. Well, I'm lazy and it's 2a.m. now so this ends my blog post.
