December, December, Descender

Today marks the countdown to a new year,
a new year to be filled with more memories,
a new year to make more friends,
a new year to learn more things.

For some reason I feel kinda depressed,
I feel as if there's not enough time,
as if the world is coming to an end,
I feel like I'm getting older and losing the vigor of youth.

Bullshit, I'm only 18 and next year I would be 19,
but that's sadly making me feel old,
feel like I'm incapable of doing the things I use to do when I was younger,
missing out the fun and joy I had when I was younger.

Things are gonna change,
things will become different,
I myself have made a big change,
a change in personality, a change in the view of life.

The more I feel like I want to be with my friends,
the more I want to go out and enjoy,
go to different places,
malls, forests, places I'd love to go.

What's in line for me in December,
Comic Fiesta, Christmas parties, new years eve,
over nights, hang outs, sport outings,
I want more, I want to have more fun.

I feel lost,
floating in worries,
floating in melancholy,
wanting to escape.

But I also can't wait for the new year,
to see all the friends I know,
to see their smiles,
see their happy faces.

I guess it's just one of those moments,
I lose myself for a moment,
and reminisce,
remembering the good times,
and wishing for them to last forever,
to give my selfish self,
a happiness that will last,
a happiness that will be shared,
a happiness that everyone can have,
a happiness that everyone can enjoy,
a happiness that everyone will remember.

Hello December.

24th November 2010

Wednesday

Sunny (Morning), Cloudy (Day), Rainy (Night)

Today morning I arrived at SMK Tropicana at around 7.20, just in time to learn what's happening and stuff. The juniors were gathering their stuff into their patrols and the S.L.A.V.E.S. were moving things into the lorry that will take all the tables and stuff up to Commonwealth Park. I got to put my bags in Amanda's car so I did not have to worry about it after that. I then helped out with whatever I got to help out with, pretty much nothing. Haha. Some of the scouters have already moved out with the S.L.A.V.E.S. in charge of setting up the place before the participants arrive at Commonwealth Park. After the buses arrive, Benjamin, Li May, Wai Sin, Chee Meng and I helped organize the scouts to put their stuff into the buses. Ben, Chee Meng and I then each rode in one of the three buses to go up to the campsite. When we got there, Ben, Chee Meng and I taped the general camp info on the usual whiteboard. Later, Chee Ming and I did the points system for the patrols; we stopped half way for lunch and after lunch, Chee Ming went out to buy stuff for dinner with Amanda and so Chee Meng helped me out. Time crawled because there was nothing much for the scouters to do. Chee Meng and I did rounds a few times and looked around for things to help out with. Later after the Dark Portal was completed by the S.L.A.V.E.S., Mr. Colin got all the scouts to fall in and we got ready for the opening ceremony. After the opening ceremony, we had photo sessions with the Dark Portal. Some how, the kerosene era of lighting has been somewhat replaced by this rock thingys I forgot what they're called but it's awesome but also smelly and hard to use. Kerosene lamps were replaced with this rock powered lamp thingys that work with the logic of chemistry which I obviously fail at. A bunch of rocks plus water plus fire equal lamp. Cooooool… Unfortunately it's hard to use because some of these lamp thingys can't work because it's chemistry and chemistry is a bitch, too much water, no fire, too little rock thingys, no fire. Ben, Chee Meng and I struggled for some time to get this one lamp to work but no avail. Whatever. Hahaha. After the rock-lamp thingy, I helped Amanda taste and evaluate the scouts' dinner and after that, our dinner, yay~ Nasi goreng pataya. Too bad the S.L.A.V.E.S. did not go a good job with the dinner, the juniors did better. Hahaha. After dinner, we arrange the tables and got ready for the Ice Breaking Ceremony. Yay~ It was awesome, only the activities the scouts played was kinda boring. Mr. Colin's Triplex: Aftershock opening video was awesome. Yay~

25th November 2010

Thursday

Rainy (Minutes after 12am), Cloudy (Morning), Heavy rain (Day), Rainy (Night)

So now it's 12:47a.m. and we are awake and I'm here writing this in Textedit because there is obviously no Internet connection in a forest. Hahaha. Oh yeah, I want to talk about Commonwealth Park. It's only been a year since I late came to Commonwealth Park and there are quite a lot of changes here. The building that used to be a broken down toilet is now a massive dormitory, the old torn surau is now fresh looking and there is this swimming pool next to the river. Why is there a swimming pool next to the river? Can't you just play in the river? So weird… The Indian temple next to the campsite also has a fresh coat of paint. Yay. It is still raining and it's really cold, my mucus have started to flow. Ahh… Mr. Colin just finish giving us our scouter's briefing for today's agenda. Yay. Now we are free to bath, sleep, eat, whatever. I'm gonna sleep, that's for sure. Later I'll be going to the waterfall. Yay~! But the water current must be really strong. Oh no. Just from this few sentences I'm pretty sure you don't know that I'm tired. Haha. I think I'll bath later before I sleep. Yeah.

Oh my God! Stomachache! For the first time in my life at a camp! Ahhh!! I've been practically been farting since I woke up. I farted so much I bet I could convert the gas energy into making a penny farting. Oh my God. Anyway, I was the last scouter to wake up but no fear, it doesn't mean I was late. Haha. I had three hours to prepare before performing morning inspection with Ben and Aaron on the Starcraftians. After morning inspection, Ben, Aaron and I went to the Warcraft camp area and look-look see-see Chee Meng, Ken, Wei Liam and JC doing their part of the morning inspection. The Airplex was already in progress, yay~ In the afternoon, Wei Liam, Yee Ying and I went to lead the Starcraftians up to Templer's Park waterfall. Yay! This would be my second time going up there to enjoy the waterfalls. Along the trip were representative S.L.A.V.E.S., Phui Yee and Ivan. Awesome. Because we are scouters, Wei Liam, Yee Ying and I got into cars and went ahead while the camp participants had to hike to the park. They were fast so they got there in time, according to plan. We got up to the falls and then climbed up against the current according to the activity but after passing the easy stage, it started to rain and the current got stronger. We had no choice but to get out and return. Along the whole way, a lot of the scouts got bitten by leeches, well, as usual, I did not get bitten, neither did Wei Liam and Yee Ying. But why?! I was wearing slippers! I had a bigger chance of getting bitten! So weird! Moving on, during the activity, Bernice, nicknamed Princess, because she had a deep bamboo cut on her thumb, making injury serious, getting a chance to take rests and always attended by Aaron, tripped in the pool and hurt her ankle, so she got to ride in the car with us. So the other scouts had to hike back, unfortunately, after the participants headed out to hike back to Commonwealth Park, it rained heavily. Wei Liam did a U-turn and told them to take shelter at the Shell petrol station that was ahead them. We then headed back to camp. At camp, lunch was waiting for the three of us, chicken with mash potatoes. It was awesome! Something not camp food-like. It was raining very heavily so all activities were stopped, the participants can continue to build their gadgets and stuff but the games and all had to stop. It rained for hours. In the evening, the rain finally stopped and the "stranded" Starcraftians got back to camp. Yay! Just in time to make dinner, mee hun kui! I went around to check on the juniors and help with tips and stuff. When I got back, dinner for the scouters was served, Li May made an awesome spaghetti olio for us! It was amazing! All of us ate together. Later, Mr. Colin requested me to help out with the carbide lamps. Yeah, the rock-lamp thingy is called carbide lamps. Yay. Intelligence increase by one. Well, this time a lot of the lamps could not work. Fook Hoy, Chon Giap, Chee Ming, Wai Sin, Roxanne and Dawson came and Fook Hoy helped us out because he knows how to work the carbide lamps. Fook Hoy explained to us that most of the carbide lamps were clogged and had to be cleaned out. Sad. So as Fook Hoy tried solutions, I went to have dinner part two! The S.L.A.V.E.S. cooked too much mee hun kui and could not finish all so I ate about three plates to help out. Yay! Right after that was Triplex Got Talent. The concept was similar to America's Got Talent mixed with Malam Kebudayaan. There were good dances and bad dances, one patrol even got scolded for going over board with inappropriate content. TGT ended with a movie-like trailer for a video made by some of the participants.

Friday

Cloudy (Morning), Sunny (Day), Rainy (Night)

Well, it's 3.22a.m. now, not too long ago I confirmed that I had stomachache and was writing this. I think you should by now realize that this is written in a diary-like format but whatever. After TGT, Mr. Colin gave us scouters a brief for today's agenda after the Warcraft patrol leaders' meeting. Now everyone is going to sleep. Because of the heavy rain, the juniors and sleeping in the scouter's sleeping area. Luckily it's bigger compared to the last time I was here.

Yeah! Finally! After seven years of scouting, five years of camping and three years of going into leech prone zones, I finally got bitten by leeches! Yay! I was learning the route deep into Commonwealth Park with Chee Meng for the K.K.B. when I got bitten by one. I was so excited! It was my first time! Of course, the thing to do was to pull it out. The first one did not suck any blood, so did the second. Later on, during K.K.B., one of the juniors saw a leech bite mark on my calf. Whoa. Third one, without me knowing it. Some time later, I felt something cold and slippery in my pants. Whoa! A fourth one! This time it bite me on my thigh but somehow it fell off. I took off my pants and threw it away. JC said that I have good blood because the wound clotted fast adding on that leeches produce some kind of acid that prevents blood clotting the normal way. Later at night not too long ago, I was bathing and I found another leech bite mark, higher up, near my family jewels and this time it was not funny nor exciting, it was worrisome. I remember Christian B.P. was bitten on his dong by a leech. Damn. Well moving on, In the morning, I did not many stuff to do so all I did was hang around the Demon's Temple. Oh yeah, my stomachache lead me to shitting five times in the morning itself. Bad. Well, I got better after I got my first leech bite. I did the K.K.B. in the afternoon until evening and then I helped out in the kitchen with the S.L.A.V.E.S.. It was fun! It's been some time since I did some real scout stuff I did back when I was still a senior. Ah, the good old days. Well, dinner was out the roof! We had spaghetti carbonara! It was awesome! Like damn awesome! Ah. Time kinda flew… I can't really remember what happened here but yeah, Mr. Colin asked me to help out for Night Base Station activity for the Warcrafts. I was to tell them about wild animals in the forrest, why they attack you and how to save yourself. I learned a thing or two in this. Haha. One of the reasons why elephants attack people is because they are on heat. Haha! Mr. Colin gave me a book to refer to and in the book were descriptions on how to tell if an elephant is on heat. Hahaha. I also learned that to defend yourself from wild boar is to wave your arms and cheer (make noise). Oh yeah, wild buffalos sometimes attack people for no reason. What?! Hahaha! Well it was fun. After that I took my bath and found the fifth leech bite. Haha. Five leech bites in one day, all in the same day I first get bitten by a leech. Awesome shits, huh.

27th November 2010

Saturday

Cloudy (Morning), Sunny (Day), Rainy (Evening), Humid (Night)

I woke up from the voices of the other scouters. I was kinda blur but I still was aware of my surroundings. I immediately went to brush my teeth and had breakfast, pancakes. Yummy. The S.L.A.V.E.S. did a good job on making the pancakes. After breakfast, we got ready for morning inspection. I was paired with Kaili to check the cleanliness of the Warcrafts. After morning inspection, we all headed out to do Airplex. We let the juniors who had not gone on Airplex and then each of us had our fun riding on Airplex. I was the last because I did not really want to get on Airplex because of my acrophobia but I did it anyway, three years and I still get the shivers riding Airplex, still, it was an excellently awesome experience. After Airplex, we went back to the Demonic Temple and we had our lunch, burgers! Chicken and beef. I only had beef because not everyone can eat beef and the chicken was out fast. The best part is that I had five huge beef burgers. Nom nom nom. After burgers, we conducted Triplex Quest. I was teamed with Edwyn, aided by S.L.A.V.E.S., Joey and Cassandra. We did the Orb of Lightning, a game of accuracy. The darts game was the same as the one I wad back in Triplex 2008: Inferno, blowing darts at pictures drawn on starofoam. The funny thing is, I was in S.L.A.V.E.S. that time and I was to assist Edwyn that time for the same game. Haha. Such coincidence. Well, I later learned that the participants were actually fighting against time to try and complete the whole Triplex Quest in a time limit. After Triplex Quest, I helped out in the kitchen again to cook. Well, I accidentally screwed up one of the pots of soup, I added too much salt, really, really, too, much salt and it was ruined. I was devastated and tried to fix it, almost made myself miss dinner, steamed chicken with rice and soup. Dawson came and stopped me and told me to eat dinner because Triplex Got Talents Season Two was going to start. Well, I had a bitter dinner but oh well, how many times already have I disappointed others and myself. TGT was a cheer up for me there were good dances and stuff that made my night. Haha. The S.L.A.V.E.S. were great! Their S.L.A.V.E.S. dance was off the roof! There were two Korean dances, this crazy dance from Step Up 3D, the part where there's this guy who moves only his body and his head stays in place, breakdance moves and others. It was spectacular. It was simply amazing that the simple Power Rangers dance the S.L.A.V.E.S. back in Triplex 2007: Blizzard and in Triplex 2008: Inferno has been changed into a complicated modern cool dance in Triplex 2009: Vortex and now, Triplex 2010: Aftershock. It was really, really, great. You can say I was blown off my seat.

28th November 2010

Sunday

Cloudy (Morning), Sunny-Rainy (Day), Rainy (Night)

Benjamin woke me up together with Wai Sin, Chee Meng and others for morning inspection. We did a pretty strict inspection that morning because it's the second last morning inspection. After morning inspection, some of us went for K.K.B. again but this time, instead of hiking into the forrest, we had no choice but to do it near the Illidari campsite because of insufficient time. Well, it was going fine until it rained, everyone was wet and the juniors had no choice but to change from backwoods to modern cooking. Yeah. After we were done, we rest at the Demonic Temple and soon after that, Wei Liam, Benjamin, Wai Sin, Chee Meng and a few other of us went out to the Commonwealth Park entrance to usher the parents in for Triplex Night. We did the ushering until 7.45p.m. seconds after Triplex Night starts. Yeah. Triplex Night was intense! The S.L.A.V.E.S. dance still blows my mind. After Triplex Night, I was so tired I fell asleep for about two hours in uniform. Oh yeah, this day's the first time I've seen Gordon Koh in person.

29th November 2010

Monday

Sunny (Morning), Sunny (Day), Rainy (Evening)

We had scouter briefing at around 2.30a.m. and after that, I'm here typing away on my laptop using this energy I have no idea where I got from. I had some biscuits and milo and just now I finished my song compilation for Comic Fiesta. I just realized that Bobby is my distant cousin, how fail is that? I'm so ashamed that I did not recognize him and he recognized me. After taking a better look at his face, yeah, I remember him now, haha, so fail.

I did not want to sleep but I slept anyway, so I woke up pretty early. Today there's only Mr. Colin, Amanda, Wei Liam, Benjamin, Ken, Chee Meng, Jarrel, Arron and me left. Mr. Colin left to do morning inspection. Well we packed our bags and stuff and then immediately, packing up the whole camp was in procession. We went around to monitor the Warcrafts to pack up their bags, clean their campsite, throw away their rubbish and stuff. The S.L.A.V.E.S. on the other hand we're busy cleaning up the Demonic Temple and the bunker and got ready things to be put on the lorry that will come to take the camp stuff back to SMK Tropicana. I did some rounds and then took a break with the other scouters and at the same time listen to the survey Mr. Colin was giving the juniors to vote for the best scout, best patrol leader, best assistant patrol leader, best quartermaster, et cetera as the S.L.A.V.E.S. together with the Starcrafts work together to put up all the things to bring back on the lorry that arrived earlier. Soon enough, we had almost all the things out. When all the patrols went out to the parking lot outside Commonwealth Park to get ready to get into the buses to go back to SMK Tropicana, I learned that Wai Lynn is Yu Kane's younger sister. Well, to wrap things up, I learned that there are a lot of the younger siblings of well known scouts who were at Triplex, Wai Lynn one, Amos, younger brother of Abel, Jesselyn, younger sister of Justin, Nick, younger brother of Neal, Steve younger brother of Joycelyn and many others. It was just wow. Anyway, I took a bus back down together with the juniors. Oh yeah, I also learned that Wai Lynn knows Mae Yen. Haha. It's such a small world after all. Well, we got back to SMK Tropicana and we did the closing ceremony. Well. That's the end for Triplex 2010: Aftershock. Next year Triplex will be completely different as the Blizzard theme (Warcraft, Starcraft) will be changed.

It's good to home again but deep down I still have this feeling of wanting to still be at Commonwealth Park, the same feeling I had back in 2007 and 2008. The sentimental feeling of missing the times being at camp with different people. Well, at Triplex this year, I meet new friends, reunite with old buddies, learn new things. I learn new faces of others, learn new catchphrases from others, find new potential scouts and also learn my own mistakes. There's always this thing about Triplex that makes me more sentimental compared to other camps I've been to and that's probably because of the number of troops this camp brings together, the number of participants this camp has and the number of days this camp lasts. Even though I was not a participant in Triplex, it was still a fun and trilling ride as a voluntary scouter for the camp of the year that rocks, Triplex, beyond excellence!

Kindergarten, Painting, Toilet Bowls and Shooting Games.

Shit: 1
Thursday, 18th November

Chia, Mal, Laura and I met up at Starbucks at Sunway Pyramid at around 9.30 in the morning. With Kai, Wilson, Wee and Ann Nee, we agreed to help out Chia's aunt, Debbie, do some drawing and painting work for her new kindergarten at Puchong. We all soon gathered at The One Academy's Galley and admired some of our seniors work before departing to Chrisdale kindergarten. The boys sat in Kai's car while the girls and Chia hopped into Debbie's car. We got there and after Debbie's briefing, we worked on drawing simple stuff for kids in the instructed classroom. We drew stuff like vehicles, candy, musical instruments, those stuff you'd find in places for little children, humanoid insects, bla bla bla.

Outside, we were instructed to draw this bunch of kids based on some small scale drawings done before hand by Debbie. What we kinda did was play around before Debbie returned from buy us lunch because the scale Debbie gave us to draw the kids was too small and Chia said that it was better to wait for Debbie to look at it instead of deciding it ourselves. And so Laura, Wee and Ann Nee ran off to a nearby park to play at the swings. Chia, Kai, Wilson, Mal and me waited at the kindergarten instead. The kindergarten looks pretty good. There's a swimming pool there! We hopped around the little playground thing in the kindergarten and talked bird (the actual word is 'talk bull' but we 'talk bird' as we are called The Birds).

After Debbie got back, we got to work. The girls worked inside the kindergarten while we boys worked on the kids. After finishing the drawing, we went back in and we all had lunch together, char siew chicken rice. After lunch, we got back to work. Wee joined the girls and painted the stuff inside while the rest of us boys worked on the outside.

A few hours later, we have some retarded looking kids. Even some fail looking kids. It was so hilarious! At one point, Chia did a mistake drawing one of the kids so he decided to erase the mouth but it got worse and there was this huge black hole for her mouth. It looked like something from Exorcist. Kai and I laughed so hard, I had tears rolling. Later on, we painted on the skin colors and one of the kids looked retarded, as if she was suffering from down syndrome or something. Mal came down to check out our progress and laughed at the poor retarded painting. Of course, all of us boys were laughing too. Later on, there was a perverted looking girl. Ha, now I only realise that all the problematic paintings were girls, why was that? We're not sexist and that's for sure but still... makes me wonder why...

The painting and all took us longer than we thought. We could not finish the job at the planned time, 6.30p.m. and it the sky started to get gloomy. After discussing with Debbie, we decided to return on Monday to continue. So we then took off and headed to Sunway Pyramid for dinner.

Mal suggested T-Bowl and that was where we had our dinner. I was so excited! Ever since Ann Nee told me that T-Bowl was open, I was eager to go there. What is T-Bowl you ask? T.Bowl is a toilet concept restaurant. I remember seeing the restaurant once when watching Ho Chiak! on TV and since then I wanted to go there simply because of their shit-shaped ice-cream. Now, here at T-Bowl, I learn that T-Bowl is more than shit-shaped ice-cream, the food are awesomely mouth watering! I did not know what to eat! Everything looked so good! I just had to sink my teeth in everything! I later then decided on this tomyam seafood ramen. The food was freaking awesome, in bold! I had an ice-cream desert; Yes! I have finally fulfilled my dream of eating the shit-shaped ice-cream, with my awesome college buds too! After the dinner, we all said our good-byes and the five boys marched together towards the outdoor parking lot outside Sunway Hotel. We are staying over at Wilson's house.

At Wilson's house, the first thing we did was pick up his comic books and read. Hahaha! Wilson's room is filled with Marvel and DC comic books and we were attracted to read some. We took turns to bath and after everyone was done, we went down and started to play games. We first played Splinter Cell, Wilson and Wee played first and then Kai and I played next. What was awesome was that Kai did not play it the Splinter Cell way, to be stealth, he played it Call of Duty way, blowing enemies up with a shotgun, running head first into rooms without tactics and laughing hysterically. It was pure awesome. If Laura and Mal were there, they would have seen the crazy side of Kai. Haha. So Kai and I made a great team, I would take out the lights and Kai would take out most of the enemies and the both of us would heal each other when one gets hit. Strangely I would be the one who gets shot most of the time, probably it's because I'm still not used to playing shooter games but seriously, I'm starting to enjoy them. And so we played Splinter Slaughter until 4.30a.m. and then the lights were out.

Shit: 2
Monday, 22nd November

I was late. I was half and hour late but Chia said it was okay and Kai was later than me. We gathered at the TOA gallery again and as soon as Kai arrived, we hoped into his car. Wee went to China for a holiday so this time, there was Chia, Kai, Wilson, Laura, Mal, Ann Nee and Ann Nee's brother, Shen, I could not catch his name properly so I call his Handsome because that was what Wilson and I first heard when he introduced himself. Kai did not come in his Vios, instead he came in a BMW. We were pretty surprised. So Debbie's car got into an accident so she could not pick us up to the kindergarten because it was in the middle of service. All eight of us manage to squeeze nicely in the car, this time no one had to sit on the floor of the car.

We manage to get to Chrisdale in one piece. As soon as we got there, we got to work almost immediately. It was the same. The girls worked on the inside and the boys outside. After finishing the out most side of the kindergarten, I moved in to the wall next to the door and there was Chia and Mal, and Laura who just came out in time to hear Kai and I talking about fish as we walked towards them. Laura said something about the difference between the topics girls and guys talk about and went back in, Chia and Kai followed and Mal and I was left. I decided to help her finish up whatever was left. We worked in silence because the both of us were not good in starting conversations. I sorta started one but it died out fast and there was the awkward silence. Haha. While painting I think about this problem of mine, not good at starting conversations, especially with girls. Haha. I'm well aware that I still have that anti-social part of me that occasionally surfaces and it just reminds me of it.

After we were done, we went in and helped out Chia and Kai on a huge tree in one of the classrooms. What we did was dab this sponge of green for the leaves. It was fun. Haha. After that, we went back into the classroom where we drew the vehicles and stuff and worked in there. Laura, Ann Nee, Wilson and Handsome had already painted some of the drawings already. Without wasting time, we got to work. Laura and Wilson childishly played with paint by painting each other's arms and legs, even though Laura kept telling us that she's not a little girl anymore she behaved like one. Haha. Like Kai said, that is one of Laura's X factors. I agree with Kai as I think Laura's attitude like that makes her cute. Hours passed and we finished at 7.15p.m., again pass the time we thought we would finish. After washing the brushes and changing clothes, we all hopped into three cars, Debbie, Debbie's friend and Kai, and took off for Sunway Pyramid, once again the dinner location is T-Bowl.

I was in Debbie's friend's car with Wilson and for the first time in many years, I spoke a whole conversation for more than ten minutes in Chinese. When we got there, Kai and the girls were not where to be seen, only Debbie, her friend, Chia, Wilson and I were there. Apparently Kai lost sight of the car I was in and he got lost. After talking to the Laura, Debbie manage to get them back on track. This time I had mango sago dessert and this lamb chop. It was awesome! Haha. Again Mal could not finish her meal and I finished it for her so I got to taste the cheese baked rice. It was awesome! Well, thanks Mal. I also want to thank Debbie for this awesome experience and of course the lunch and dinners!

After the dinner, everyone went home and once again, the boys made their way to the outdoor car park next to Sunway Hotel. We are once again staying over at Wilson's house.

Again we read the comics in Wilson's room before going down to play Splinter Cell. Kai was not as crazy as before because the level was kinda harder. He was laughing in the beginning but then it stopped at some point. After Splinter Cell, Wilson and Kai played Black Ops in zombie mode and then they switched to the story mode after they failed twice when the flaming zombie dogs came. Wilson was did not even play for a minute and he fell asleep, we did not notice it until the character was spinning in circles. We then headed to hit the sack.

We woke up the next morning at 11.59, surprisingly at the same time. I woke up earlier actually but I was still feeling sleep so I dozed off again. Well, after we woke up, we got up, brushed our teeth and stuff. Chia got back to reading the comic books while Kai and I got on our laptops and surfed the net. We stayed like this until 1p.m. and then we only had our 'breakfast'. After 'breakfast', we got on the xBox again. Wilson and I played Gears of War but half way through there was a problem so we switched to Left4Dead 2. It was awesome! I sucked though because I still suck at shooter games, I kept shooting my own teammates. I played with Kai and I kept accidentally shooting Kai. Anyway, it started to rain and thunder stroke, loud. Wilson switched off the xBox and we lazed around and talked bird before heading back to Wilson's room and continued to read comics. We left around 5.

Well, what a day. Tomorrow I'll be away until next Tuesday. The Birds are planning an outing again for this Thursday, too bad I can't go. Too bad I'll miss the awesome soya milk! Argh! But oh well, like Mal says, such is life.

All I Can Eat!

Yesterday after Triplex Training, I went to 1Utama to meet up with my family and we had dinner at Robot Sushi because we got some coupons a few days ago. It was awesome!

Because we can only use two coupons per receipt (and we had a lot of these coupons), my sisters separated from my parents and I and had their own table. At the same time, Robot Sushi was having this All You Can Eat Buffet promotion and I was totally up for it and so I had the buffet while my parents ordered the a la carte menu items to use the coupon because the buffet was not entitled for it. I did not really have a lot of food but I guess it was okay, two meals and a bunch of appetizers and also sashimi. Hmm... Okay I guess...

First off I had a plate of gyoza, and then I had tempura prawns and vegetables, and then I also had this modern-type sushi called Rock 'N' Roll, it was a grilled beef wrapped cheese and mushroom kind of sushi. For my meals, I ordered this tempura and beef bento set meal and also a wagyu burger. I wanted to get some noodles but my mom told me to get other stuff. I got some salmon sashimi. I wanted to order some more stuff but I accidentally filled myself up by finishing my drink. Darn. I got full and could not eat any more, or I would end up walking weird again due to a bloated stomach. I still have two more coupons and I'm thinking of going again, maybe alone this time, the food there is not cheap.

ORGANic

Every third Sunday of every month is Setia Eco Park's monthly fair. People will go to buy stuff and bla bla bla, the usual stuff at a fair. Last month my mom registered for a booth as to sell organic vegetables, with help from my dad's friend. I don't know why my mom wanted to do so but hey, it's something to learn eh? So today my mom dragged my sisters and I to Setia Eco Park for us to help her out. Why dragged? Because I was having my beauty sleep! I was so sleepy I slept at the tables during the fair.

Anyway, at the fair, our supplier came in her van and passed us the organic vegetables, there were many green leafy vegetables, mushrooms, bean curd, gourds and also some interesting stuff like coral seaweed and sea salt. From 10a.m., we were there selling these organic vegetables until 5p.m.

Being a vendor means you will meet all kinds of people. Yeah, some were organic eaters for years, some were new to organic food, some were eager to buy but do have space in their fridge to store.

At one point of the day, my dad was attending to a customer, he was explaining about the organic vegetable farms my dad's friend was running and stuff about the organic foods. The customer then said to my dad, "Are those your kids? You have good looking children.", and my dad, as usual, not listening to others, stuck in his own words floating in his head, said, "Yeah, we are distributors.". My sister and I laughed at that. That's my dad for you, once his mouth opens to let the river of words flow, words from the outside gets drowned out from his head.

At the end of the fair, we did not manage to sell off all the organic vegetables, my mom said it's expected as the suppliers said that since it's the school holidays, people would normally go away for a holiday or go back to their hometowns so there won't be that many people at the fair and so we did not profit. Haha. At least we got to try out the organic vegetables after we got home.

The organic bean curd (tofu) can be eaten straight from the packaging, cold and all. It was my first time eating so and it was pretty filling. Then we had these huge organic oyster mushrooms, some were bigger than my palm and they were crunchy. Of course I cooked them before eating. We also had some organic wholemeal bread. They were small but heavy, which my mom said that they really are wholemeal and seriously, a single slice was filling.

The next fair would be next month, a week before Christmas. Well I don't really look forward to it as the experience I had today was crazy. The weather was hot and I was super sleepy. I sweated while sleeping and I was really thirsty. Oh well, no helping it as my mom would 100% pull me out of bed to help her out.

PS: I feel like eating thick beef burgers and bubble tea...

Like Clowns In A Cartoon

Today is the last day for semester three and now it's my semester break! Whoo-hoo! After class, Kai, Chia, Wilson, Wee, Mal, Laura, Ann Nee and I went to The Summit to watch Megamind. How did we go there? All eight of us squeezed in Kai's Vios and we were lucky to not get caught by the police (there were a lot of police along the way). At the Summit, Wee and Ann Nee split with us because they had already watched Megamind and they watched another movie, Adele: Rise of the Mummy. Well, at least the two of them get to have some quality time together. Teehee.

Moving on, the remaining six of us went to have lunch at a restaurant called Mandy's after buying our tickets. Guess how much was the tickets, RM6. That's right! RM6! Student price! It was awesome! We thought we had to pay it for RM10 which was shown on the screen. Anyway, lunch was awesome. I was a glutton again by eating part of Mal's lunch, footlong sausages.

Megamind was awesome. Even though it was quite the cliche type of movie, I liked it very much, compared to Takers, pft. No match at all. After the movie, we found some interesting doors that were placed on a high place with no possible entry besides a ladder or scaling the wall. Haha. Mal and I saw a boy about the age of 10 or 11 smoking as we exited the cinema. Sigh, kids these days, they don't know what's gonna get them, selling their health and youth just to look "cool". Seriously, how can smoking cigarettes make you look cool?

Mal spazzed over pianos on display outside this musical instrument shop called Piano Station. She played some songs, Mario theme, Mr. Bean theme, Nokia theme, a Rachmaninov song I recognise from Igudesman and Joo's A Little Nightmare of Music in the part, Rachmaninov Has Big Hands and others. It's awesome seeing someone play the piano really fast in person. Totally explains why Mal is great in O2Mania. Hahaha.

After the movie, Mal and Wilson's parents took them home from the Summit and then Kai drove the rest of us home after we met up with Wee and Ann Nee again.

So semester break has just started! Things to do, things to see, things to learn and many more! Soon I'm gonna check out that driving school near my home. I suddenly had the motivation to get my drivers license and I want a Viva! Oh boy, oh boy! Triplex: Aftershock is around the corner. Mal finishes her piano lessons on the 29th which is the same day Triplex will end. This means December is open to activities to be done with my classmates! Sleep overs, swimming, I don't know what're we gonna do but I just can't wait! Hoozah! SEMESTER BREAK!

Hi Bloggy Woogy Woogy

It's been some time since I last had a blog post. Some stuff happened over the week and I'm currently in a very busy and kinda tight schedule. Even though it's not that tight I feel constipated by it. Haha.

First off, today is the last day for classes, after this we are free for the holidays! This coming Thursday I'm gonna help out Chia's aunt with some my good college buddies to paint a mural for her new kindergarten. Next, this Saturday is the last Triplex Training for the Triplex 2010: Aftershock participants. I'll be helping out for Triplex so I have had attended Triplex Training 2 last Saturday and Sunday. Triplex is next week and it's a camp for six days with five scout troops all from the Petaling Utama district getting together. And finally next month is Comic Fiesta 2010. I'll be helping out at a doijin booth Cheryl got and some of my classmates are gonna be selling their artwork and stuff. I'm not very confident in selling my artworks so I'll be doing a game for the booth. Inspired by the Guess the Anime Song Game at AniManGaki, I'll be doing a similar game so before CF starts I'll have to get the songs ready. This calls for a tutorial from Kai~!

I wonder if any of my classmates is gonna organise a class trip this holiday, but it's also the school holidays for the primary and secondary schools which means everywhere would be crowded and packed with humans. Heads up as well are Christmas parties, I'm pretty sure Xin would be holding one since he loves Christmas so much. Pamela said that she'll be holding a Christmas party and that I'm invited. Denise also said she's gonna hold a Christmas party. So many people! I wonder if Kenada is coming back from Canada for Christmas. Hmm.... Still there're my classmates, Wee and Wilson are planning over nights at their houses. Looking at the whole picture, this is the fist time I'm looking forward to a very fun year-end holiday.

Dislike

Today I watched Takers together with Chia, Wee, Kai, Wilson, Mal, Laura and Ann Nee. To movie was horrible. It sucked. I didn't like the tiniest bit of it and I was speechless about how bad it was. I don't know what but I just don't like it. There were the explosions, the tension, the stunts but something was wrong and I don't know why. It just sucked. If I were to give it a rating on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 0. Yeah, maybe a negative too. Seriously, don't watch Takers. I never felt so much dislike for a movie before, I even lost my appetite, took me some time to digest this feeling. It was that bad. Strange though I could follow the story while everyone else said it was hard to follow. Bleh. I think the storyline was forced made, ever since A-Team and The Losers movies' great hit there were many movies of the same genre made into production and seriously, it's a bad idea. It's starting to get dull and the plots are starting to get pointless, the ending for Takers did not make any sense and it was somewhat like a cliffhanger. Yeash. Didn't like it at all. I dare say Twilight is better than this movie.

ケナダ病気?

Today Ken greeted me this morning and at first glance I thought Ken was sick or something, fever maybe? He said no but I'm not amused.

Haha. Yeah right. I was just joking. It's just that Ken normally doesn't say things that don't fit his monotonous character and this is quite rare to see him with above normal happy tones. Hahaha.

Beat That Speed!

For the past few posts, I have been saying things like 'speed' in relation to solving Rubik's cubes but now, this time, I have manage to rise to the top in Tetris Sprint! Clearing 40 lines at 1:33.04 seconds! Seriously, it's hard to clear 40 lines at fast. My average is around 1:48 seconds. Now for my next challenge for myself is to the the top in scoring the most points in 2 minutes in Tetris Ultra. Yeah! Korobeiniki for the soul!

AniManGaki 2010

After having breakfast with my family at a Malay mamak, my dad dropped me off at Center Point where I would meet up with Wayne and hitch a ride to AniManGaki at Sunway University College. Apparently Yati and Kuui were also hitching Wayne's ride.

So the four of us got to Sunway University College. We were pretty early, as the event starts at 10a.m. and we got there at 11a.m. It took us some time to figure out the location of the multipurpose hall and after suiting up into our cosplay, we bought our entry tickets and went in. The staff ran out of 'Cosplayer' tags so we had to take the normal tags.

The moment we enter the event hall, the emcees, Hisashi Guy and Dante (famous cosplayers and emcees on Comic Fiesta Forums) starts AniManGaki. I met Emanuel and Jian Leng at the entrance. They were waiting for Cheryl and Yumi to get into their make up. We took a seat and looked around from there for a moment. The stalls did not seem ready and there weren't that many people around yet. After that, the four of us strolled around taking quick glances and looks at the doujin booths. After that, we walked around some more and then went out to look at other stuff.

Outside the event hall is the Omatsuri festival. We get to play some of the famous Japanese traditional games like Daruma Otoshi, Kendama, Fukuwarai and Kingyo-sukui. There were also non-traditional games like DDR and cross bow archery. I played the cross bow game and daruma otoshi. In my second try, I won the daruma otoshi game in one go. Of course, I did not claim any prices because I did not want it. I played the game for Kuui and later Rin. I paid for the cross bow game though. I sucked at it.

Yati found out about a haunted house at the event so we went to check it out. Two cosplayers welcomed us (one of them I've seen her many times before as Soifon) and we were to go in by twos or threes. I teamed up with Wayne while Kuui teamed up with Yati. The two of them went in first. When it was our turn, I was not that entertained because of the "training" I had days before, staying in the dark room at the print room while doing our project had helped me get use to the darkness easily. I instantly was able to make out the whole place. I could even see the "ghosts" behind the black curtains. Over all, the people who set up the house did a good job. They even had a television on static, it would have been awesome if someone were to crawl out of it, Sadako for the win. Haha. We left the place later and continued to look around the event areas.

While looking around, I meet Jie Lin. She was helping out for the event watching over the kingyo-suki stall. Then later I met up with my college buddies who were there for AniManGaki, Nicole, Cheryl and Yumi were cosplaying, Jian Leng and Emma were there for the event and also to carry the girl's bags. Hahaha. Inside the hall I also met Baddie. Not to forget cosplay friends I know, the twins, Dion and Fion, Pamela, Garret, Amelia, Irene, Zen, Akira and other's who I've seen before but don't know their names. Abby, Senzo and Rin came later on.

I must thank Rin-nee-chama a lot! Why? Because she lent me her new bought wig for my cosplay! Nyuuuu~ Thank you so much Rin! I also have to thank Cheryl for helping me style the wig. Nyuuu~ Thanks Cheryl!

The rest of the day was walking around, sitting in the dressing room, eating, walking around some more and nothing much. When buying lunch, I met Aunty Angie and Stephanie selling food. We talked a little and then I went on with the event.

Seriously, I overspent at AniManGaki, I got too excited over the anime DVD sale and bought two anime series, Saki and Taishou Yakyuu Musume. Saki was most worth it. It was cheaper by almost RM20! I just had to buy it! I guess I can say that I'm lucky because they did not have a lot of the anime series I wanted or I would have been extremely broke but on the other hand, I'm unlucky because I did not get all the anime series I wanted. Win-win eh.

After spending time doing nothing but walking around, sitting around, randoming around, we all went home. Yeah. Cheryl, Nick, Yumi, Emma and Jian Leng went to Sunway Pyramid for the Halloween party there to get free candy. Haha. I left the building with Rin and Senzo as our parents came to get us at the same time.

Unfortunately for me, my mom's camera had some problems and thus I did not get to take a lot of pictures. I think I have less than 10... Oh well.
