System Disconnected

Oh yeah, I won't be online or using the computer for a few days starting last Saturday because my Internet connection has been disconnected and transferred to the new house and my computer will be plugged out to be ready to be moved.

Wondering why I can blog? I'm in college now duh! HAHAHAHAHA!! Not funny...

Where Was The Earth Hour Passion?

On Saturday morning, I went to Sunway Pyramid to have my History group meeting about our History project. I went there pretty early so I had to wait for everyone else but it did not bother me since I have my DS with me.

Chia was the first to arrive and soon came Laura, then Ming You and then Tricia. Iris said she was gonna be late so we moved on to a Taiwanese restaurant for lunch. Iris arrive the moment we finished ordering our food. Before the food arrived, we discussed our ideas and then chowed down on our food. After that we discussed for about half an hour or so in about our ideas and then moved on to Starbucks to obtain Wi-Fi connection for Tricia's laptop and we had more stuff to see and discuss about.

After the meeting, my next destination was Ikano Pwer Center. I had to take the bus to Kelanja Jaya LRT station and then the Ikano Free Bus but my bus to KJ was late and according to the Ikano bus time table, I would miss it even if the bus arrives. After about twenty minutes, the bus finally came and I arrived in KJ soon. It was 3.30 and the next Ikano bus would come at 4.30. Wow, one hour to waste. I smsed Yati and hanged around there looking at stuff in this shop that sells cheap random stuff for a cheap price.

While I was enjoying the air conditioning in 7-11, I spotted the Ikano bus at the other end of the road at the LRT station. I was shocked! I thought the bus had arrived earlier than usual, so I frantically ran across the over head bridge and towards the bus when the conductor told me that the bus will come back at 4.30 back from where I came from. There was half an hour left so I just stood at the bus stop and waited for the bus.

The bus came and, duh, I hoped on. It's free so and we gotta do is behave and sit still and enjoy the ride. When we got to Ikano, I smsed Yati and turned out he is still on his way (he walks, pity the gentle giant). So, I headed to E@The Curve and headed to the game shop Tecky told me about that sold Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver at RM189. Turned out it was true and so I bought Soul Silver after some hard decisions. After I bought the (SUPER!!) awesome game, I headed back to Ikano. Yati called me as I was walking pass Dragon-i and we decided to meet at the center of The Curve. We met up and we decided to take a munch at Ikea but before that, we headed to the Popular sale at Ikano because I saw Kar Kit working there.

Yati decided to prank KK. We went near him and as he turned around, Yati quickly grabbed a book in front of him. Then KK walks pass us, Yati quickly asks, "Excuse me, why is this book here?" KK replied without looking at Yati, "Oh, uh, sorry." He blurly look at the shelves and had a confused look. Then he saw me, froze for around two seconds, turned to Yati and smacked him in the shoulder. We then left laughing our asses off.

We headed towards the Ikea cafe and Yati went to line up after I handed him my money and I went to look for a seat. The place was packed! So I headed to the rest area and sat down. Yati soon came back with my half a dozen curry puffs and his hotdog and drink. I decided not to tell Yati about my newly bought game. He finished first (duh, I have six steaming hot curry puffs and his is a warm hotdog) and played with his DS. Did you know that Yati and I think a lot alike? When we were in Form2 and Form3, we often said the same thing the same time and think about the same things. Well, I asked Yati what version he bought and he said, "Soul Silver.". There you go. (The both of us also bought Diamond version.)

While I was still munching away, Yati called Marcus and asked if he could come and join us. After some convincing, Yati got Marcus to join us. We met up at Speedy. Then, we headed to E@The Curve to watch How To Train Your Dragon, not in 3D! (Laugh now)

The movie was good, no, it was AWESOME!! I loved it! I say How To Train Your Dragon is a 'watch again' movie. I wanna watch it in 3D the next time. I simply love the dragon designs and the colors and the characters and not to forget, the story line. It was a whack in the pack! It was so good, Meet The Robinsons fell into the vortex of the crack.

After the movie, we decided to have dinner at Ikea. As we were going down the escalator, Marcus spotted anime DVDs among the sale items and we rushed there. I was so excited! I wanted to buy Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuustu. I watched the whole series on the net already but it's a Haruhi, and you must buy Haruhis. Then I saw Summer Wars, "WOW!", I wanted to buy it too! Then I saw a 2-in-1 special, K-On! and Wolf and Spice II! I got so pumped up and excited but then I saw the price. Holly shit... If I buy these, I won't get dinner... Then I hesitated over and over again and then I, feeling so sad, so shit, so emo, so lifeless, went and have dinner first. I manage to get over half of the lifeless feelings when eating my meatballs. Marcus and Yati played mind tricks on me while we were eating. After eating, I told Yati about my Soul Silver because I could not help hiding it. I wanted to surprise Yati with this blog post actually. He he...

After dinner, we headed back to the sale but it was closed already.... Ha... Ha... Ha... I was really depressed but hey, I have Soul Silver. Oh well... I'll just force Kenada to give me his K-On! downloads when he comes back for his holidays.

Earth Hour? Well.... The only thing we saw was that the mall just switched off the neon lights outside the building. What about the inside?! Where's the Earth Hour spirit?! Why didn't they switch off ALL the lights?! Why can't they let us enjoy the darkness and wonder in the dark?! WHY?! Oh well... Malaysians and Malaysians...

Omelette + Coffee = Happy JY

Oh yeah, today I made omelettes for lunch. It has been some time since I made omelettes. Wha... This actually reminded me that I actually don't dislike cooking in the kitchen, I dislike it when my mom is around when I cook in the kitchen. Haha...

Well, it's a simple omelette with my favorite ingredients in it.

Eggs - Like duh, omelette is nothing without eggs.

Cheese (Read: CHEEEEEEEEESSSSE!!!!!!!!!!!!) - Omelette would be egg if there was no cheese and I love cheese.

Mushrooms (Read: MUSHROOOOOOOOOOOOMMMSS!!!!!) - Oh yeah, I love mushrooms too.

We did not have much ingredients to use since we are gonna move soon and mushrooms are easy to prepare, so mushrooms it is! Yummy~♥

Yadda yadda yadda~ Cook omelette for sisters and then mine. (Mine is the biggest anyway, hohoho!!)

EAT!

Oh yeah, I made myself coffee before cooking. I need at least one cup of coffee a day now...

Me eating HUGE omelette. So yeah, here's the bald me.
Oh yeah.
This is an epic picture too.
Cookie Monster wants omelette too! Look at him! Haha!!
"Me wants omelette too! Om nom nom!"

Mushroom omelette~♥

Depression And No Motivation

Haih... Today is really some day.

My parents went back to Penang to settle something that has gotta do with moving and so my sisters and I are left home alone with the dogs.

Since morning, all I have done is pack up some of my stuff (when I say some, I really mean little) and use the computer all day (Read: Doing nothing on the computer all day).

For an unknown reason, I felt depressed and restless the whole afternoon till evening despite the fact that I did nothing at all. I have been thinking about my assignments but my mood swayed me away from my motivation and at one point I got pissed off and stressed out because of my groups History of Art and Design project, we did not have a proper meeting yet! Even blogging this now is making me feel tired and depressed. How depressing...

My parents will be back tomorrow and soon we will be moving. How the heck am I suppose to be able to pack my things and finish my assignments at the same time? Haih... Thinking about just makes me even more tired and depressed...

I wish I can get a time out from reality for a day or two or nine. Haha, I made an otaku joke there. Ahh... So tired...

Return Of Baldness

Oh yeah, I had my hair shaved so I'm bald again (or rather, really short). No pictures to post this time. I hate taking pictures of myself because it's weird and I'm no camwhore.

It's A Whole New Experience

Last Saturday, I attended 157th Petaling's Tenderfoot Training Course and also Rover interview and the Annual General Meeting (AGM). I'd say it was a whole new adventure to me. Hahaha.

On Saturday, I followed my sister to BU3 as planned because I can't drive and I did not want to trouble my dad by making him make two trips to send my sister and me separately. When we got in, I greeted Dawson who just drove into the school and I headed to the co-curriculum arena separate from my sister, I waited for her to get there first before going there. Soon, I was greeted by my fellow (ex-)juniors who are just not used to calling me Mr. Jian-Yong. I put down my things and offered to help but Mr. Dawson said to not worry and chill around until everything is settled, he also apologised for making me stone around. Hahaha. I did not mind at all, I walked around the school grounds recalling the good times I had as a student there.

Soon, I got briefed by Dawson about what I can do and stuff because I suddenly showed up last minute. We went istiadat and Dawson passed me to the bunch of newbie scouts for briefing on backwoods and morning inspection. I had Maverick accompany me because I'm not so good in fire starting and also to add on anything I did not mention. I went well, except my sister and her friend who disappeared in the toilet and to show the recruits teamwork I made them stand and wait for them but at the end I let them sit and we went on without my sister because after asking Yu Feng to help me check out, I found out that my sister shat her pants.

After the briefing, Mr. Colin, Jarrel and Mr. Edwyn came. Mr. Colin was shocked about my hair and said I looked like a girl, a paper doll girl meant for the deceased in fact. Honestly I found it funny and laugh. Mr. Colin's opinion gave me my answer to whether I should cut my hair or not. Later around 3, I ringed Beng and asked if he can take me to the BU Community Hall because it was raining, I had no transport and the Rover interview was held there. Beng and I got there first and after waiting for some time, Amanda came and asked if the others were there. We were confused for a moment and then I remembered that Sean and Maverick mentioned before that there were other scouts who were gonna take the Rover interview (Ivan, Chin Tak, etc.). The interview was different from what I had imagined. I shouldn't mention what happened but I can say that we all got accepted. Hahaha.

After the interview, we all headed to the BU Buddhist Society (BUBS) building for AGM. I felt exited and nervous at the same time because it was my first time attending this kind of meeting with high ranking people namely, Mr. Ekbert and Mr. Augustin. That was also my first time seeing Mr. Augustin in person. We listened to Mr. Augustin tell a story and the moral behind it. Then there were some speeches, discussions and an award giving ceremony and it ended with the election for the new executive board. Then we had packet drinks and curry puff. Yummy~ I took the last few ones for Mr. Dawson and Mr. Colin who were not present at the meeting after asking permission from Ms. Li May.

Maverick's dad took Sean and I back to school. When we got there, the scouts were in the middle of their MK night, watching a video about scouting made by Mr. Colin. After the video, I changed out of my sea scout uniform into my land scout uniform and sit by the side and watch the MK night. After Sean, Maverick and I settled down, Dawson briefed us with his night game called Wide Game. We are moderators of the game and we had to come up with some stuff. After MK, Dawson called us together again with the Form4 and 5s to make the game plan. Soon we were all ready and Dawson went to get the juniors ready.

I had some more dinner (left over sausages) and then with the aid of Jarrel and Edwyn, we conducted the first part of Wide Game which is a guessing game where two patrol members act out or use words to make the other patrol members guess a word. There were seven words to guess and from the seven words, they have to form a new word using the first letter from each word. There many parts where the game was really funny. One patrol had the word, 'elegant'. The two patrol members were asking, "Girls are?" and the other patrol members shouted back random words that pretty much describes girls but did not come to 'elegant'. They soon ran out of words and started saying words like, 'kinky' and 'perverted' but they manage to get elegant later on. Another patrol had the word, 'mother' to guess. The two patrol members acted out what a mother would do but the responses from their patrol members were 'breast feeding', 'giving birth' and 'pussy'. I laughed out loud at those answers. After we were done, I continued by joining the seniors and Dawson to splash water at the juniors. At the end, only the Form2 patrol manage to win the game and they got splashed by water as their reward.

Later at night after letting the juniors go to sleep, I decided to finish my 'PedoMan' assignment for Figure Studies. Some of my (ex-)juniors, SenzO, Yu Feng and some others came to watch me. SenzO requested for a piece of paper and he started drawing the old man too. I finished around 3am and then went to sleep on a bench with everyone else. Two hours later, I woke up shivering in the cold. I did not have my sleeping bag because I gave it to my sister. Timothy was awake adn he reported to me about the juniors'. Seems like they woke up at 4am and got ready for morning inspection which is suppose to be held at 6am. I was still groggy and cold but I went to the juniors with Timo and told the juniors to change to their mufti because they were suppose to have morning exercise. The other scouts were still asleep and I can clearly see that Maverick is shivering in his sleep on a chair. I went around the school building with Timothy to keep warm and then went back to the co-curriculum arena to wake the Form2s up. I went back to sleep but woke up again because I couldn't stand the cold. Then Timothy found a packet of coffee for me and I rejoiced over it. Ah yes, I have become some what a coffee addict now, must have one cup a day. Haha.

After istiadat, the juniors started to do their backwoods. Edwyn tells me that we have to try their food after they have finished just like how the Rovers do back when I was still a senior scout. We went round giving tips and help and also checking out on the juniors' progress. I must say that they are pretty good for beginners. They process was fine but the result was bad. Most of the roti lilit was either half cooked or quarterly cooked, their potatoes were not cooked long enough and their chick is defiantly only cooked at only one part. Bleh. I'd give credit though.

After that, Dawson told the juniors to get ready for the water game, penguin football. Before the game, I helped give out nasi lemak to the juniors and then ate my own. After the game, I got really tired and fell asleep. Later on I felt kinda sick. Haha. Must be from the cold morning.

So, after TTC was over and my parents picked my sister and I up, we headed to another destination. A ridiculous one in fact, I think.

After bath and packing clothes, we headed to Genting.

My dad had a one night free stay at one of those expensive hotels and so he did not want to waste the chance. I packed my college stuff as well because we were gonna leave in the morning and so we have no time to go back home before sending me to college.

When we got up there, we checked in and then went for dinner. My parents have some free karaoke thing but my sisters and I did not want to karaoke with them. Haha, it'll be weird to karaoke with parents I think. So my sisters and I had Pizza Hut for dinner. The service there sucks. It's either they don't have enough workers or they just suck bad. The soup, pizza and even drinks came out late. After eating, my mom ordered a take out of that new pizza flavor, the one with many layers, for us to eat because we only had a small pizza among the three of us. After that, my dad took us back to the hotel lobby and then we went to our room ourselves and ate pizza while watching Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street on the idiot box. The pizza was okay, not bad, but it kinda tastes like cardboard, but I still like it.

The next day we left Genting and came back to KL and sent me to college. I was really sleepy and felt feverish that day, probably because of the non-stop activity I had for two days straight. My fever went on for about three days.

THIS IS KENADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah! I finished my yonkoma, Kenada!! I feel so proud of myself and so amazed that I could actually do it! Yaaaaaaaaay~~~~ Hahaha!!

I used Illustrator to draw the whole yonkoma and it took me about two hours to finish. What I did was trace Italy's head along with feathers and part of his neck. Then I filled in color and stuff. For the other characters, Ken (Read as: Kenada) and Canada, I copy-paste the first Italy I drew and edited here and there to change the features, same goes for the other Italys in panel two, three and four. I plan to do one with pencil but too lazy to do so. Hehehe... Oh, and for Ken's head, I simply traced his hair from a picture of him and the other features were taken from Italy or randomly made up. Hahaha!!

Kenada (Illustrator)

After uploading, some colors went off. Pink turned blue... How did that happen...? Nyoron~

Archers Of The Epic

Today after an epic class of Malaysian Studies, Chia and I went to Sunway Pyramid to pass the time because my dad was gonna get me late. Chia went to cut his hair so I went to try and use the Wi-Fi but failed. As I wondered back to Asia Avenue to find Chia, a Chia with a new hair style was in the distance. We then walked around doing nothing because I thought my dad was about to arrive soon but he called me and said that he'll be later. Chia bought some snacks to eat as we walked some more and finally stopped at Anime Tech to watch Law Of Ueki. After about 2/3 of an episode, suddenly, Mal and Nick came up behind us. They were joking that after they came up the escalator, they'll see Chia and I at the bottom but instead we were on top. Hahaha. They said that reason being, we were bumping each other a lot and even eating in the same restaurant by coincidence about three times already.

Nick told us that Laksh and gang were coming to meet us so we stood outside Anime Tech and watched Ueki a little longer and then Laksh, Cardin, Jean, Wee, Natalie, Apple, and some guy I've never seen before came. Turned out that Nick wanted to introduce archery to us and invited Laksh to play at the archery shop next to Anime Tech. I was reluctant at first but then I gave it a shot after Laksh convinced me to play. So, Nick, Mal, Laksh, Cardin and I paid for one game. Chia and the others watched but then they left leaving Chia. It was cool, I actually feel like going there again. Hahaha! I did not get to hit any part of the yellow circle which is the center part of the target, all I hit was the surrounding and most of them were concentrated on the left. Hahaha.

After the game, we gave ourselves each nicknames after famous archers because Laksh's name fitted the name Legolas resulting, Legolaksh. Nick became Nicktiri (Neytiri) or Artemisaki (Artemis), Mal is Malinkni (Link), Cardin is Cardin Hood (Robin Hood) and I am Williamax Tell (William Tell). *Thanks to Mal for the nickname list. Hahaha.

Thanks to Nick for giving us the boot to archery! Woot! I wanna go play again!

Thunderclouds Not In The Sky

Today I had to face a machine gun of what my dad thinks about scouting today on my way back home from college. I was defiantly unpleasant and he kept asking me questions I cannot answer and hollering at me about what scouting is when it is clearly obvious that it is what my dad thinks scouting is from his personal experience. You see, my dad is a 1950-1960 person and the way scouting was in his years is different from how scouting is now, in fact, from listening to him shout about the badges, ranks and age organisation of scouting of his years, I can say that there is a huge difference between scouting now and then.

I'm going for a Rover interview soon and I was informed that I need to buy some uniforms and badges for the interview and events after the interview.

It all started with me telling him that I need a sea scout uniform when he asked why I needed one. I was not sure about that but I knew that all the Rovers I know have one and they wear it occasionally. Then my dad (who already knew but clearly forgot) found out that my juniors, Sean and Maverick who are also going for the interview are in Form5 this year and that was when he went through the roof. He started yakking about how can a Form5 student who's going to take SPM join the Rovers? He, as usual, went shinkansen and went on and on about the scouting system (read: old scouting system) which I have no knowledge of because that system has pretty much went through a complete makeover.

Scouting then (as how I understand from listening to my dad)
-They have no badges, the only badges they have are proficiency badges. To them, the badges that they earn (like our Usaha, Maju and Jaya) are not badges, they are ranks.
-Junior and senior scouts have the same badges and ranks, meaning, whatever badges they had back then which is like our Usaha, Maju, Jaya and proficiency badges are the only badges they have throughout their scouting years in secondary school. No Jayadiri, Kemahiran, Kegiatan, Ekspedisi and Perkhidmatan and no Rambu Pengakap Remaja, just Bushmanthong(?) which I think is similar to our Rambu Pengakap Muda. To sum it up, it's like everybody is even.
-King Scouts cannot be a Rover and a Rover cannot be a King Scout.
-There are only countable numbers of King Scouts back then in the whole country. My dad says that the qualifications to be a King Scout has dropped.
-Only those in Form6 and older can become a Rover, period.
-Scouts who become Rovers return to their troops. Unlike now, Rovers cannot be assigned to the troop they were in during secondary school, they have to go to other troops but can go back to help out at camps and the sort.

Seems like my dad won't listen to my explanations unless someone else tells him about the scouting system now. Also, he said that he talked to Mr. Dawson about Rovers before and from my point of view, I can see that he does not understand what Mr. D told him.

Rainy Bus Ride Home

Yesterday was the first time I took a bus home. I was really excited because I've never board a bus on a normal day where I'm not going on a class activity whatsoever.

After Design class was over, I followed Chia to the bus stop outside Sunway Pyramid. It was raining so I decided to share my (small) umbrella (or I call it, smarella!) with him but he refused. Before us was Laura and Nick. Nick's car was here to pick her up and from her car she lend Laura her (big) umbrella (or I call it, Bigrella!) and so, Laura offered Chia to share the bigrella with her and after some convincing, Chia agreed go under the bigrella. I was behind them so I got to see this cute and romantic view of the both of them under a big umbrella. Awww~ (They don't have any romantic relationship whatsoever)

Laura is heading into the Pyramid so she suggested that we swapped umbrellas so that Chia and I can get to the bus stop and so we did. At the bus stop, we met with Cardin and Celine. Turned out that they were taking the same bus as me and also getting off at the same stop (I learned my bus number from my dad who did some research). Chia's bus came first so he left. Our bus soon came and we went sat at the back together. For me it was kinda awkward but Cardin and Celine broke the ice for me. Not that I don't know them, I don't really talk to them because we don't always hang out. Haha.

Anyway, we talked in the bus about random stuff, stone, day dream, talk about Pokemon (*laugh now) until we reached Kelana Jaya. The ride took one hour. Wow! After we got off the bus, we said our goodbyes and parted our ways because Cardin and Celine takes the LRT home from there. Going to the KJ stop, it gives me the feeling of nostalgia as it reminds me of the primary school years (and of how stupid and naive I was back then) and the memory of my 400km hike with my scouting buddies (in Malacca, we took the LRT to a bus station and then went to Malacca by bus).

Camera Webs

Yay~ Few days ago I bought a webcam. I tested it by chatting with Ken but it lagged like crazy because Ken's connection was slow and the microphone was on. Haha. Anyway, yay~

Cheap Shit For Poor Performance

Recently I bought this spheric "Rubik's" puzzle because I thought it was really cool to have a ball shaped Rubik's cube but guess what? The puzzle I bought is a piece of crap.

First of all, the color scheme of the puzzle sucks bad. I almost couldn't tell the difference between the blue and purple (must be my colorblindness...). Well, the color circle can turn but you can only turn the center pieces instead of turning all pieces like a normal Rubik's cube! (Imagine a Rubik's cube where you can't turn it's corner pieces at all costs.) Then, the worst part of this dumb ball is that the pieces or should I call them tiles are connected and held together by a rail-like grove on the ball. It's like some steam engine that can't move properly! The tiles often run over each other and jams in place until I move the tiles that got stuck. What the fark! I wasted 30 bucks on this shit! I could have bought a Fisher's cube for the same price with better quality! Sheesh!

The sucked up ball. Don't buy this at all costs!
